"Method 8" is a percussion sextet with some similar instrumentation as "Sextet 1". This piece is slightly more groove based and uses a more straightforward form of ABA'B'. The metallic motifs get introduced in the "A" section and come back in "A'" with underlying 16th note motifs on membranic and wooded instruments instead of metal. The "B" sections are what really hold the piece together because of its marimba motor rhythms . These rhythms get a bit of a break when the syncopated figures follow. This piece will challenge the players' inner groove.
